I was born in Mombasa, Kenya, a coastal town situated south west of the country. Growing up in Mombasa had its unique advantages and influences as my sphere of influence was keep within bounds by various cultural and environmental factors that contributed to my thought process and artistic perspective. The beach setting, Swahili cultural, relaxed pace of life and ambiance of Mombasa help mould my artistic outlook and hence framed my work produced.
